Tarek Dahdah is the Director of AHSS. He started working at the school in 1988. Tarek holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Master’s degree in secondary education from the University of Alabama. Tarek believes the value of education is its power to teach acceptance and tolerance, and the sense of community and helping others. He seeks to empower students and believes a good education also builds students’ self confidence while enabling them to solve life’s challenges through logic and reasoning.
Nicola Dahdah is operations administrator at AHSS. He has been with the school since 2017. Nicola has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Southeast Missouri State and a Master’s degree in earth resources management from the University of South Carolina. Nicola believes school should be a fun safe space for kids to learn. He also believes school is for all children and that education is for life.
Alia Aqrabawi is assistant director for academics and curriculum for K-12, accreditation coordinator, American system coordinator, and academic counselor. Alia has been at AHSS since 1995. She has a bachelors in English language and literature from Mu’tah University. Alia believes education is for everyone and celebrates diversity, equity, individualization, and inclusion. Her philosophy of education is derived from AHSS founder Dr. Sue Dahdah, education for life, education for everyone.
Ahmad Herzallah is the assistant director of AHSS and principal of grades 8-12. Ahmad joined the school in 2007. He holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Isra University and a master’s degree in educational management from Al-Balqaʼ Applied University. Ahmad believes education equips individuals with knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities. He believes it empowers personal growth and opens up opportunities while fostering engaged citizens in society.
Khawla Hakim is the GCE School Coordinator at AHSS. Khawla has been with the school since 1988. She has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering in nutrition and food processing from the University of Jordan. Khawla believes in diversity of education, teaching a range of topics in her time at AHSS including advanced biology, science, math, social studies, religion, arabic and vocational.
Mohammad Ameen Al Zudy is the principal of grades 1-7 at AHSS. He has been at the school since 2011 Mohammad holds a master’s degree in educational administration from The Hashemite University. Mohammad believes education can change students’ behavior and increase their scientific and social awareness. He believes in providing a safe educational environment for his students.
Maha Hdaib is the kindergarten director of AHSS. She has been with the school since 2004. Maha has a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Jordan. Maha believes education makes students more self-reliant and self aware. She also believes it helps them build confidence, decision making, and logical thinking skills. Maha sees education as contributing to student’s excellent reputation and ultimately helps them obtain an excellent job.
